Bloody November

So, I don't mean the title in an offence way. There's nothing wrong with November, it's just that... there was alot of blood. Like literally man.

Last Week of School! Colegio Jardim Sao Paulo

So it's tradition in my school here that in the last week of classes they have a 'dress up' week, and have a different theme every day. This time there was Halloween, Nerd, Career, and Gender-Swap day. Me, not really having any clothes, basically just dressed in black most days. But one day I was a cowboy.... so, I guess that counts for something. I'm not going to post ALL the photos on here, just the 'best of.' There were two boys in particular who really got into the spirit every day, it impressed to the point of creeping. At the end I was literally asking myself if they did this professionally in some secret life they have. These people literally have no shame.

None.

GUYS. HE'S NOT ACTUALLY BLACK.

Mmmmph, them cross-dressers.

Zombie Walk - Sao Paulo

So, there was this big zombie walk in Sao Paulo at the beginning of this month. It was scary as hell... and basically a big reason for every gay and hipster in the city to dress up and meet up. Like, I was impressed. And yes.... I ripped up my school shirt to use at the walk. YOLO you know.

October!

Well, as October has to be the best month in the whole year (because well.... It's my birthday this month), it's fitting that some awesome events took place. Just saying.

National Fair - Campinas

So, basically every year Rotary have a national fair showcasing all countries that do exchange in order to entice other people to go on exchange and to help potentials to choose a country to go to. Hence, each exchange student was told to bring things native and unique to their country to show off, including flags, photos, instruments, food, drinks, anything you can think of really. And so they did, yet, of course, as every year, the Mexicans out-did everyone! Dang Mexicans.

Not really. I love Mexicans. Best people ever.

Also, as we had to stay overnight in Campinas, Rotary put us up in houses of volunteers. And the family I just happened to get were AMAZING. Like, when I stayed there it was just the two sisters as the rest of their family were in Braganca Paulista on their little farm, so we had a basic night and hit it off straight away. After only a couple of hours these people made me feel so welcome and a part of their family.

Villa Felissa - Braganca Paulista

So, remember that family I told you about I stayed with in Campinas for the night? Well, the girls liked me so much, the family invited me to stay at their farm with them the next weekend. You could say it was awesome. Most relaxing weekend I've had in a while, no internet, no service, just nature and me. While there they took me fishing in their little pond and we actually used earthworms for bait! It was pretty nasty business putting them on the hooks. Like, I didn't know earthworms had blood. That Saturday night I taught them how to play Speed (it's a card game) and they absolutely loved it. Like the 28 year old boyfriend was squealing like a little girl while playing this game. He. Was. So. Freaking. Excited.  The next day I cooked pancakes for them and helped them clean the horses before lunch. After lunch we drove to Soccorro, about half an hour away and visited the "Cave of Angels" and I saw a bloody TOUCAN. IT WAS AWESOME. Afterwards, we went to a Cachaca house, where they home brew all different flavors of Brasil's shot-like drink, Cachaca..... don't be mad Rotary, but I came home with two bottles. WHADDUP.

Rotex Downtown Project - Sao Paulo

So not much to say about this day, just a bunch of exchange students being led my ex-exchange students around the historical part of a big-ass city. Legit. Happen to fall on a hot day too. Like noooo, the day before and the day after were cold, but JUST THIS SUNDAY was hot. Like damnit weatherman. It was cool, we saw some old churces and buildings and stuff... and other stuff?

Upside-down selfie Sunday!

Wait... where are the rest of the stars on the Australian flag?
